Alan Wilmes

Bio

Coach Wilmes is the Head Coach of the Blue Springs South High School football team. He's coached high school football for the last 18 years and has led teams to a State Finals appearance, 3x Final Four appearances, 7 District Championships, 10 Conference Championships, and was a 2020 & 2021 Kansas City Chiefs Coach of the Week, and was the 2020 & 2021 KC Suburban Red Conference Coach of the Year. In 2021, his team broke the PHS school record for wins with an 11-1 record.

Throughout his career he has coached the following notable athletes: Calvin Munson (NFL Linebacker for the New York Giants), Montee Ball (Running back for the Denver Broncos), Connor Flynn and Jack Flynn (wrestle for the University of Missouri), and Jake Springer (DB for Ole Miss) and several other notable athletes. His 2021, team had two Simone award finalists and one winner (Mudia Reuben Otis Taylor Award winner)

He is married to his wife Cassidy and has three kids Ava, Cy and Zoey that are all active in youth sports.
